General Information - Ontario

Terms:

Terms to concerns of approved credit are -1%, 15 days net 30 days. Customers desiring to make one monthly settlement may deduct a 1% cash discount, exclusive of taxes, if payment of account in full is received no later than the 15th of the month following the date on the invoice.

All accounts become due on a net basis on the last day of the month following the date on the invoice. No such cash discount is available on credit, or debit card orders. Interest of 2.00% per month is charged on all overdue accounts. Credit cards are accepted for payment only at the time orders are placed.

Minimum Order:

Orders less than $375.00 in value before taxes are subject to a $75.00 processing charge.

Areas not serviced by Ariva trucks:

All warehouse orders exceeding $750.00 in value before taxes will be shipped prepaid throughout Ontario. Except north and west or Sault Ste. Marie (Thunder Bay, Dryden etc.). These areas are F.O.B. our warehouse.

All warehouse orders under $750.00 in value before taxes will be assessed a delivery charge of $100.00.

Where the facility exists, orders requested for delivery after 6:00 PM are subject to a $25.00 surcharge.

C.O.D. Orders:

Only C.O.D. orders in excess of $750.00 in value, before taxes, will be delivered.

Transfer of Title, Risk and Ownership:

Title, risk and ownership are transferred to the Buyer at Seller’s Warehouse or Mill from which shipment is made at time of delivery.

Claims & Returns:

• All claims for errors or corrections must be made within five days from the receipt of goods.
• All stock should be checked carefully upon arrival.
• Returns for credit must be made no later than 20 days after the date of invoice. All goods returned for credit must be in the packaging in which it was originally supplied.
• No allowance will be made if goods have been cut, printed, ruled or made less saleable.
• A 15% restocking charge, with a minimum of $50.00, will apply to all returns.
• No obsolete, or discontinued, items will be accepted for return.
• Non stock, or mill only items, may not be returned without prior approval and will be subject to mill levied restocking charges, an Ariva handling charge and applicable freight charges to the point of return as specified by the manufacturer.
• Overruns on special making, or mill direct orders, when within published mill tolerances, may not be returned for refund.
• All prices are sales tax extra where applicable. All prices are subject to change without notice.

While our goal is to ensure accuracy of prices listed in the shopping cart, in case of disagreement between those and the automatic Ariva order confirmation sent via email after checkout, the Ariva order confirmation sent via email will be taken as correct.

Broken Carton/Package Surcharge:

Excepting products specifically noted as only being available for sale in even increments of full mill cartons or packages, any item ordered in a quantity of less than one full mill carton or package will receive transactional pricing plus a charge of $35.00 per occurrence, regardless of the order size.

Example: 2,500 sheets of Lynx Opaque 17½ x 22½-50M (packed in cartons of 3,200) would receive your transactional price plus $35.00; the same would be true for an order of 4,000 sheets.

Non-Stock Item Returns:

Items marked as being "stocked at mill", or those ordered specially, are subject to manufacturers' return policies. Please refer to non-stock item page notations for specifics.

Envelopes:

Envelopes may be assorted for quantity price.
